CASE 21 Results

CASE 21
Our school/district is administering CASE ASSESSMENTS. These assessments are developed by veteran educators and contain questions that are comparable to state test questions.  The reports provide data to target instruction.
Here is the data obtained for Carnage from the 1st Benchmark assessment.  Each percentage is based on the percent of items correct.  We would expect that for most students, the actual EOG score will end up being slightly higher than the Case 21 score, due to further instruction and preparation during the next months.  It is our hope that this score will serve as motivation for every stakeholder – students, teachers, parents, and school administration – to do everything possible to maximize learning for our students during the remainder of the school year. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher if you have any questions.

FAQ’s
How are CASE ASSESSMENTS questions developed?
CASE curriculum directors, all former teachers, study state-released tests, Common Core Standards, and all other state curriculum standards, along with district pacing guides (if available) or CASE Pacing Guides to ensure that the questions reflect the state assessments.  Questions then are submitted for multiple content and grammar quality checks before they are placed on a benchmark assessment.
How many questions are on a CASE Assessment?
The number of questions varies from 30 to as many as 70.  First, second and third quarter benchmarks typically have from 30 to 45 questions.  Comprehensive final benchmarks typically have from 40 to 60 questions.
How similar are CASE ASSESSMENTS to state tests?
CASE Assessment questions are tightly aligned with state standards/indicators and the overall difficulty level of our assessments mirrors state tests.  Just like on the state tests, every objective is not measured by a CASE Assessment, however we align our assessments to similar content percentages as state tests.

What information is in the reports?
CASE ASSESSMENTS reports provide class, school, and district data on overall projected achievement level and scale score, suggested grades for students (100 pt. scale), thinking skills, curriculum units or standards, percent correct, and reading standards and genres.
What value are the CASE ASSESSMENTS to teachers?
Teachers say that our assessments help them identify particular areas of need for students and help ensure that they are teaching what the state is testing. For administrators, our assessments ensure classroom alignment and pacing and provide them with grade and subject reports.
