WCPSS Blackboard Useful for Students and Teachers

Several teachers are now using Blackboard with their students, and 8th graders can review the NC Computer Skills Test, for which there is an online course in Blackboard that they can access for home study. In addition, course shells are available for each team as well as a whole group resource that is being developed as in Intranet for Carnage faculty and students. Check out Blackboard and see how useful it can be!

Computer Test Info

During the 2005-06 school year, students in eighth grade will take the North Carolina Online Test of Computer Skills or the North Carolina Computer Skills Alternate Assessment. For more information about this test, go to http://cskills.ncsu.edu/nccs/.
The NCDPI has made the The North Carolina Test of Computer Skills Student Handbook available as a download in PDF format. The handbook includes sample questions, however the actual test is not available for download or viewing.
